Robert C. Kapteyn

With over 33 years of experience in Nuclear and Power System Operations, Rob Kapteyn brings proven expertise to the energy sector. His career began in nuclear, where he developed a strong foundation across all facets of operations—including hands-on Control Room operations, incident analysis, human performance improvement, and Work Protection. At System Control, Rob maintained a NERC Reliability Coordinator Certification for more than 25 years, gaining direct experience in Transmission Operations and building a comprehensive understanding of market mechanisms.  The latter part of his career has been dedicated to training the next generation of operators.

Rob founded Parallel Paths out of a genuine passion for the industry.
